شوري بن حسين الغوري
1149 CE · 544 AH
Suri ibn al-Husayn, king of Ghor; succeeding his brother Muhammad — whom Bahramshah of Ghazna imprisoned and killed for siding with Arslan — he swore vengeance and marched on Ghazna in 543 AH, but the Ghaznavid host deserted back to Bahramshah, he was routed and captured, and in Muharram 544 was crucified at Ghazna's gate — the blood-feud their brother Ala al-Din al-Husayn then took up.

Overview
Revenge and Ghazna
Ibn Khaldun reports that his brother Muhammad had sided with Arslan in his strife with Bahram Shah, and Bahram imprisoned him and killed him. Shuri resolved on revenge, and marched to Ghazna in the year 543 AH 1.
The army of Ghazna deserted him for Bahram Shah. He was defeated, and Bahram captured him. Bahram entered Ghazna in Muharram of the year 544 AH, and Shuri was crucified at its gate 1.
His other brother, Ala' al-Din Husayn, then took revenge for both of them. He is the lord of the Ghurid state in the museum's data. The Common Era date of death is derived, and needs an additional source.
