Overview

Uqba ibn Salim did in Oman and Bahrain what he did, as a ruse against Ma'n ibn Za'ida, when the people of Yemen killed him out of partisanship for their own people 2.

What al-Mas'udi reports

He killed Abd al-Qays and others of Rabi'a and the rest of Nizar who were in the land of Bahrain and Oman. al-Mas'udi attributes this to his partisanship for his own people, Qahtan 2.
