Zughba
زغبة
Zughba of the Hilal ibn Amir branches; a great mass in the Zanata lands who won the districts of the Zab and Biskra out toward Tlemcen's marches — long wars and battles ran between them and the Banu Ya'la amirs of Tlemcen, and most of the Arab captains in the Middle Maghreb's fitnas under the Abd al-Wadids and Marinids came of them.

Overview
Zughba is a branch of Banu Hilal ibn Amir. Ibn Khaldun says that their homelands were in the lands of Zanata, and that they were a great many people. 1
Their history
The districts of al-Zab, Biskra and what lies between them up to the regions of Tlemcen came under their rule. There were wars and long encounters between them and Banu Ya'la, the emirs of Tlemcen. 1
Ibn Khaldun says that most of the Arab commanders in the strife of the central Maghrib came out from among them, in the time of the Banu Abd al-Wad and the Banu Marin. 1
A second source is needed: the dates, and a second source other than Ibn Khaldun.
