Counting the children of Abd al-Muttalib
The name
The book names her Umm al-Hakim, and records that she was al-Bayda'. This is the title by which she is known in the genealogical books 1.
What is not covered here
al-Raheeq al-Makhtum does not say anything at this point about her life, her marriage or her religion. Only what the book says is recorded here. What the books of biographies and genealogies say needs a source that can be read and quoted.
For young visitors
The grandfather of the Prophet, Abd al-Muttalib, had many children, sons and daughters. Umm Hakim al-Bayda' was one of them, so she was one of the Prophet's paternal aunts.
