Overview

Tirmidh is a city on the Jayhun (Oxus). Khatun carried the peace treaty to Sa'id ibn Uthman, and he stayed on until he conquered it by treaty. Then its king, Musa ibn Abd Allah ibn Khazim, sought protection, and he drove him out of it and prevailed over it. Then it passed to the governors, and its people rebelled, and Qutayba ibn Muslim conquered it, according to al-Baladhuri. 1

Musa ibn Abdallah ibn Khazim

Musa ibn Abdallah ibn Khazim al-Sulami; sheltered with his men by Tirmidh's king after his father's death, he cast the king out and held it in rebellion — on his death it passed to the governors, broke again, and Qutayba ibn Muslim retook it.
