Overview
In 296 AH an exchange of prisoners took place between the Muslims and the Byzantines. The number of Muslims ransomed reached one thousand and two hundred souls. 2
Ibn al-Jawzi says that the Byzantines then acted treacherously and withdrew, and the Muslims returned with those of the Byzantine prisoners who remained with them. 2
The source does not give the place of the exchange or the names of the commanders. It needs an additional source.
