Dirar ibn Abd al-Muttalib

Dirar ibn Abd al-Muttalib, an uncle of the Prophet, one of the sons of Abd al-Muttalib ibn Hashim whom al-Rahiq al-Makhtum counts in its chapter on the Prophet's family. ¹.

Al-Rahiq al-Makhtum counts ten sons for Abd al-Muttalib: al-Harith, al-Zubayr, Abu Talib, Abd Allah, Hamza, Abu Lahab, al-Ghaydaq, al-Muqawwim, Dirar and al-Abbas. It also gives other accounts that make them eleven, by adding Qutham, or thirteen, by adding Abd al-Ka'ba and Hajl. ^{1 2 3}. He is therefore a brother of Abd Allah, the father of the Prophet. ¹.

Al-Rahiq al-Makhtum says nothing here about his life, his religion or his death. Only what the book says has been recorded here; what is in the books of biographical classes and genealogy needs a source that can be read and quoted.
