Overview

A passage from Ibn Jubayr's journey from Badr to Medina, passing al-Safra and al-Rawha. The text says they reached Medina on Monday, the third of Muharram of the year 580 1.

The route

From Badr to al-Safra, from there to Lidda, then to the well of Dhat al-Ilm, also known as al-Rawha. Then they took the Shi'b Ali road, then Thurban and al-Bayda, then the valley of al-Aqiq, where the minaret of Quba came into view. They entered Medina after noon 1.

Notes on pagination

The page numbers follow the scanned file of the 1907 edition. The text does not describe the road from Mecca to Badr in this passage, and does not clearly order the stations between al-Rawha and Medina, so no continuous sequence from Mecca is listed. No Gregorian date has been calculated.
