Overview

Sulayman, son of Dawud. al-Bukhari records a hadith in which he said that he would go round a hundred women, each of whom would bear a boy who would fight in the way of God 1.

In the hadith

al-Bukhari reports that the king said to him: "Say, if God wills", but he did not say it. The Prophet said in the hadith: "If he had said, if God wills, he would not have failed, and it would have been more hopeful for his need" 1.

The data classes him under the role of "prophetic figure", with a source in the Qur'an and al-Bukhari. Other details of his life need an additional source.
