Uyayna ibn Hisn al-Fazari
عيينة بن حصن الفزاري
A powerful, mercurial chieftain of Banu Fazara in Najd (dubbed 'the foolish chief obeyed by ten thousand swords'); granted one hundred camels at al-Ji'rana among al-Mu'allafa Qulubuhum, he later faltered during the Ridda wars before repenting and returning to Islam.

Summary
Chief of Banu Fazara and Ghatafan in Najd; he led Ghatafan in the Trench campaign with the Confederates, then became Muslim in the conquest year — the Prophet gave him a hundred camels at al-Ji'rana in the share of those whose hearts are won 1.

Uyayna was a brave man obeyed among his people, nicknamed "the fool obeyed among his people" for the size of his following despite his rashness; the Prophet singled him out for a great gift at al-Ji'rana to win over his people Fazara 1. He apostatised with Tulayha ibn Khuwaylid in the Ridda wars, then was captured and brought to Abu Bakr at Medina, repented, became Muslim anew — and his Islam proved good — and took part in the conquests 1.
