Overview
Qahtan: father of the Pure Arabs; his people's cradle is the land of Yemen, and their most famous clans are Himyar and Kahlan.
Life
The Pure Arabs are those descending from Ya'rub ibn Yashjub ibn Qahtan, called the Qahtan Arabs; their cradle is the land of Yemen 1.
Their tribes and clans branched out, and two tribes became famous: Himyar — whose best-known clans are Zayd al-Jumhur, Quda'a and al-Sakasik — and Kahlan, whose best-known are Hamdan, Anmar, Tayy', Madhhij, Kinda, Lakhm, Judham, the Azd, the Aws, the Khazraj and Jafna's sons, kings of Syria 2.
